Treetop Walk
We finally did the Treetop walk! More of a hike than a walk, and it took two tries, but we did it. Even saw some monkeys to top it off!
We originally tried this hike in September but as we pulled into the parking lot, it started looking pretty dark. We decided to give it a go anyway, but less than a half mile in, we had to turn around as it started raining and the radar wasn't looking good.

So, we finally decided to try again in January. This time we left even earlier and were some of the first people out there (other than the crazy runners). There was quite a bit of elevation change after the first bit, and with both kids on us, we took a much needed snack break before actually entering the bridge.

The bridge is one-way, but we didn't realize that some people would be so eager to get through it and got a bit rushed along by a group behind us who didn't seem to want to stop and enjoy the views. It was quite a beautiful view, and you're as high as the treetops!

The hike back to the parking lot is a bit longer than going, but there were some cool trees, huge leaves, and eventually some monkeys we saw along the way. Hot and sweaty messes, we were back home by 10:30am! :)
