Arab Street & A Light Show

It's taken us longer to get out and about exploring here than in Paris. Mostly because with 2 kids in tow, it's a bit more difficult. The majority of my excursions so far have been to play groups or preschools, which doesn't really give you much of a chance to see the "touristy" stuff.

So, last weekend, we decided to try and venture out a bit. We started with a pedicure for me at a mall (side note, there are about 1.2 million malls here...they love to shop) and then a delicious dim sum dinner in the Arab Quarter. Arab Street and Haji Lane are pretty famous streets for shopping and food. I love the feel of them--small little old shop houses set under towering condos and office buildings. That dim sum was pretty delicious too!

 

We decided to be brave and try and catch the light show in front of Marina Bay Sands on our way home. Emmeline didn't nap this day, so originally we weren't going to do it since the first show starts at 8pm. But, when she fell asleep in the stroller during my pedicure, we decided her 30 min cat nap might be enough to make it to the show. It was; she loved it! Corabelle, however, decided she was not happy and screamed during the show inside the mall with Nick. All in all, not too bad of a evening out. Hopefully, as we get more settled we'll be able to do more nights like this!
